Hi, my name is Aliza, and I’m currently pursuing AS Level Media Studies at the Islamabad College of Arts and Sciences (ICAS). I chose to study media because it’s a vast and captivating field that offers endless opportunities. Film has always played a significant role in my life and learning the intricate process behind filmmaking—from directing to cinematography and editing is truly fascinating. Learning about these elements allow me to appreciate the art of filmmaking on a deeper level.

Color Grading

 When I received the final edit from Mishel, I noticed that even after changing our lens the footage still had grain on the darker exterior scenes. I started by desaturating the clips as they were awfully orange and bright.  Another issue we faced was the grain issue. Using the custom mixer effect and increasing the blend color input and i changed the blend to multiply layering so it blends in perfectly and reduces the grain by alot. I also changed the color space and gamma to Rec 709 and Rec 709-A respectively.
